About Cayuga Hospitality Consultants Membership


Cayuga was founded more 30 years ago by graduates of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Today the makeup of the membership continues to have strong representation by Cornell Hotel School educated or affiliated, and all are independent consultants and senior industry leaders with multi-disciplinary hospitality expertise and broad geographic knowledge.

Cayuga Member Application Process

Contact with Cayuga Hospitality Consultant’s membership director may be made via the dedicated online contact form and selecting “Membership Inquiry” in the “How Can We Help You” box. Or an applicant may send an email including name, contact information, resume or professional bio and specific areas of consulting expertise to info@CayugaHospitality.com.

Cayuga Hospitality Consultants average 30 years of hands-on industry experience and have established an independent consulting practice prior to application. The membership is carefully managed to ensure a minimum of overlap of hospitality consulting services as well as geographic location.

The membership director will review the candidate’s background, consulting experience and areas of services, and contact the applicant to schedule a conference should information be adequate to demonstrate the candidate meets membership requisites. Should additional details be required to determine qualification, the applicant will receive a message requesting such material.

Membership is fee based, the terms of which will be discussed in the initial contact with the membership director.

Who Operates Cayuga Hospitality Consultants

There are six managing partners representing a wide variety of experience in ownership or high-level executive roles throughout their careers. They are dedicated to Cayuga Hospitality Consultants brand development and member services.  The functions they serve include:

  • Business development initiatives.
  • Managing incoming new consulting inquiries including a detailed qualifying process.
  • Distribution of and tracking leads, and ensure timely lead follow up by members.
  • Organization of events and networking programs.
  • Digital marketing, website management.
  • Membership development.
  • Mentoring and advising members.
  • Financial management.

In addition to consulting assignments and referral fees, members are eligible to take advantage of benefits offered through our preferred industry partners, have exclusive access to the members of the network for knowledge and relationship/connection sharing, participate in a highly active and productive annual meeting, web meetings and educational programs, and receive and provide direct leads to other members of the network.
