Background

Steve is the CEO and founder of REVMAX Consulting, LLC advising clients in the hospitality industry on topline performance.

He spent 35 years with Marriott International in numerous sales, marketing and operational capacities. As Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Americas, Marriott International, Steve was responsible for the topline performance of more than 5500 hotels across 30+ countries in the United States, Canada, the Carribbean and Latin America. He led an organization of more than 8000 sales, marketing and revenue strategy associates.

During his tenure with Marriott International Steve was instrumental in leading the organization through 911, the great recession, several acquisitions and the onset of COVID 19. Additionally, Steve played a critical role in leading the Americas sales organization through the largest business transformation in the history of the company.

Steve maintains close ties to the industry and is called upon frequently for his advice and counsel.

Professional & Other

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Marketing from Michigan State University and was a student athlete, Men’s Varsity tennis team. He has been a featured speaker for the Eli Broad College of Business at MSU.

A frequent speaker at conferences and events. He was recognized as one of the “25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry for 2018” by Successful Meetings Magazine, and then as one of the “Top 500 People in Events for 2018” by BizBash. Steve and his family were featured in a 2018 Wallstreet Journal expose focused on Executive fitness.

Steve serves on the Board of Governors of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
