With in-depth knowledge of various styles of hotel operations, Katie builds corporate shareholder value by defining and executing growth and profit strategies.

She has spearheaded business transformations, led complex hotel startups and turnarounds, guided acquisitions, and asset management decisions, and fostered top quality operational leadership across diverse cultures and markets, complex logistics, risk and crisis management, capital works and renovation projects.

Katie has demonstrated a capacity for creative, strategic thinking around new trends and opportunities, applying an entrepreneurial spirit to create memorable customer experiences, lead teams, successful business partnerships and improved bottom-line performance. She understands the intricacies of hospitality and has a particular interest in improving the positive environmental and societal impacts of the hospitality industry and the implementation of Agile organizational structures.


Progressing through the hospitality industry, Katie began her career as a hotel chef. She also held early roles in HR, Operations and General Management with Sheraton and then Starwood hotels and resorts in Australia, China, Qatar, and UAE before progressing to C suite roles with Langham Hospitality Group, where she was Regional Vice President for Europe and the USA, and Jumeirah where she was Regional Vice President for Europe. Whilst with Langham she was also CEO of Langham Hospitality Investments, a listed hotel property trust.

Katie has an MBA from Bond University, Australia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She is also a Certified Professional member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Certificate of Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management from Cornell University.

In 2019 Katie was selected to become a Fellow of Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, an intensive, multidisciplinary interfaculty fellowship dedicated to enhancing and leveraging the skills of already-accomplished leaders to research and address significant social problems.
