Tom offers an extraordinary range of expertise in portfolio level facility and asset management, with broad experience in all phases of hotel and resort planning, CapEx planning and management, engineering/property operations, and sustainability.

Tom is particularly skilled at delivering strategic solutions at the real estate portfolio level that can be effectively scaled, implemented, and sustained at individual properties.

Background

Tom brings over 30 years of enterprise level executive experience, managing multi-unit hotel, resort, and military housing operations to each of his engagements.

His 19 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation as VP of Technical Services and VP of Engineering provided him with a deep understanding of hotel and resort development and planning, construction, CapEx management, and all facets of property operations.

His asset management experience includes serving as the General Manager of The Prudential Realty Group's $900 Million, 28 property, Northeast hotel portfolio, including such iconic properties as the New York Hilton, Sheraton Boston, Washington and Capital Hiltons, and the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.

After graduating from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration with a concentration in hotel planning and design, he earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Tom also attended the Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris.

Tom currently operates a management consulting practice, R-A Associates, LLC, focused on creating and sustaining the long term value of hospitality real estate assets through thoughtful planning and design, efficient operations, and strategic use of capital funds.
