Robert established Private Capital Ventures, Inc. (PCVI) after over 25 years of combined business experience in hotel & restaurant management, commercial and residential real estate brokerage & finance, acquisitions & development and management consulting.

Robert provides professional domestic and international services to meet the needs of investors and entrepreneurs. By combining practical experience with business fundamentals he helps his clients get the results they desire. Robert’s expertise is in developing solutions and executing plans that create results and added value. He is action oriented and passionate about the success of his clients. While many professional service providers produce collections of white papers, “prepackaged” strategies and generic advice, Robert is about getting things done.

As a commercial real estate broker and expert in financing and acquisition strategies, he is also skilled in as assisting clients in preparing their hotel or restaurant asset for sale. Robert has extensive knowledge in analyzing property operations, market research, financing and valuations that are critical in the purchase or disposition of hotels and restaurants.


Robert founded PCVI in September 2012 after decades of combined business experience in hotel & restaurant management, commercial and residential real estate brokerage & finance, acquisitions & development and management consulting.

After gaining practical experience in hotel management with major chains, Robert joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as a Senior Development Analyst during its growth from 100 to 465 properties and its transitions from a C-Corporation to a REIT (Patriot American) and back to a C-Corporation as Wyndham International. His combined operations and finance/development experience led him as CEO of the start-up Luxotel International to Moscow, Russia. After returning to the Bay Area his entrepreneurial spirit came to fruition and he started, owned and operated Amigo Realty, Inc., an Allstate Insurance agency and acquired, renovated and managed three commercial retail/office properties in Oakland, CA.

Robert brings a unique skill set and experience that trails from the Rendezvous Restaurant at the Berkshire Hotel in NYC to the interval ownership Galleon Resort & Marina in Key West and leading to the Wyndham International corporate office in Dallas, TX, around the globe to the Caribbean, Moscow, Hong Kong, Mexico and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Professional & Other

Robert was born in Havana, Cuba and is able to travel to Cuba on an unlimited basis to represent clients in light of the current changes in U.S. - Cuba relations. Robert is a native Spanish speaker and has first-hand familiarity with many cultures and diverse backgrounds around the world, he is effective and enjoys working in any environment from a neighborhood business association meeting to a corporate Board room.

Robert has a Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a Master’s in Finance from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He holds a Commercial Real Estate Brokers license in the State of California, and is licensed in 48 states through NMLS, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
